Bye Bye ebay.co.uk.
After thinking about this I have switched almost all my auctions from
ebay.co.uk to ebay.com mainly for the following reasons.
1. By default ebay.co.uk items no longer always show on ebay.com searches,
you can read more about this at this link:
http://www2.ebay.com/aw/uk/200702.shtml#2007-02-16181558
Anyone in the UK will still find my products and so will US users
again now I have switched over. So if you list on ebay.co.uk you may
want to consider changing to ebay.com as US users may no longer find
your products if you list only on ebay.co.uk.
2. The US Dollar rules, I sell almost all my digital items from most
of my websites by the US dollar. A lot of people still don't know what
a UK Pound is but everyone knows the US Dollar.
3 The digital format policy on ebay.com, there is less chance of eBay
pulling your auctions if you use ebay.com's digital selling format (See
my last newsletter). We still don't have the digital selling
format in the UK and anyone in the UK who has had listings pulled will
understand.
4. Although I still use
My Digital
Dispatch
to deliver my eBooks you actually don't need any delivery software if
you list on ebay.com via the digital item format. You can simply enter
the download link for your eBook when you list your item.
To list on ebay.com just go to
www.ebay.com and list as usual. You can also add ebay.com to Turbo
Lister by going to:
Tools > Options > Seller Options > eBay Sites.
Make sure you follow eBay's rules on digital items. These can be found
at:

If You Create an
eBook With Resale Rights You Must...
Send it to me so I
can add it to my newsletters. All the eBooks you will see below
are not written by me. They are written by other authors who wish to
have their eBooks distributed as much as possible. If you create an
eBook of your own please make sure you let me have it so I can add it
to future newsletters. To send me an eBook simply
contact me.
I would also encourage
you to sell other authors eBooks. Most eBooks have contact details or
a weblink. Contact the authors and work with each other by selling
each others eBooks on eBay.
The following tips
will also help your eBook go viral.
1. Include a sales page. This is the biggest mistake I see made. Most
of us simply don't have the time to create a sales page for your
eBook. You know your product better than anyone else so include a well
written sales page. Without a sales page it probably wont end up on
eBay.
2. Include graphics. A good sales page will have good quality graphics
including at least one eBook cover. Try to include many different
variations if possible. If you need help with graphics check out the
help section of the
members only forum as there are many members who can help or point
you in the right direction.
3. Don't have a minimum sales price. Some will disagree with this but
if you have a minimum selling price this will prevent others selling
your eBook. Plus this wont stop it ending up on eBay for 1 cent
anyway.
4. Don't put any restrictions on distribution. Some people say their
eBooks cannot be sold on auction sites???? I know this is done to keep
the value of the eBook up but what's the point of creating something
with resale rights that can earn you a backend income if you are going
to restrict distribution? Allow it to be given away, added to
membership sites, added to compilations, etc, etc.
5. Create a quality product others will want to sell. If your eBook is
good quality it will go viral all on it's own, if your eBook is poor
no one will sell it so take your time on your eBook and make it the
best you can. Remember, you can get all the help you need here.
6. If possible allow some links to be
branded. If you gave me a good quality eBook that could earn me
money AFTER I have sold it do you think you will have more chance of
me adding it you my eBay inventory? Of course you would so if possible
try to create eBooks that can be
branded. As long as some links still benefit you it will still
make you money.
7. Contact other eBook
sellers on eBay and offer to cross promote by selling each others
eBooks. If you can find 100 like minded eBay eBook sellers you can
have 100 people actively promoting your eBooks and you can have 100
extra eBooks for your eBay inventory.
8. Join my members area.
We are probably the largest collection of eBook sellers on the
internet. We all help each other by selling each others viral eBooks.
You can work with other members via my forum by getting feedback as
you create a new product, get help with your sales page, grammar,
graphics, etc. Make arrangements with other members to cross promote
each others products. We all have the same goal... To make money.
All members have access to my exclusive members only forum. This is
probably the most important part of membership and the forum is highly
active with almost 70,000 posts and we also discuss other topics such
as AdSense, Affiliate Marketing, Joint Ventures and Internet Marketing
in general.
Remember, if you are not a member and are unsure I offer a full money
back guarantee if your not 100% satisfied. For more details visit:
