Have you Started a Blog yet? Here we are again, a lot has happened since my last newsletter. One of the most important things I did was start a Blog. You can view this at www.planetsmsblog.com. Now I never really considered a Blog till I realised how effective they can be. For starters once it is set up it is easy to run. To make a new post is as easy as writing an email. Plus as people leave comments they are creating content that the search engines love. So I know over time I will have a naturally content rich site that will bring in a ton of visitors. The main reason for creating the Blog is so I can provide information to my subscribers as I feel necessary. If I have a quick idea or tip I want to share I simply make a post on my Blog. Another reason is the fact I can permanently promote products via the 'product reviews' and 'discounts' section of my Blog. I had this idea as I noticed Tim Knox was still generating sales of one of my products over 6 months after he promoted it. I then realised it was because he promoted my site on his Blog and as he was generating traffic to new offers people were seeing his old offers, including the offer to my product. So even though you didn't realise it Tim thanks for the tip :-) So my tactics are to add messages to my autoresponder sequence and in turn send people to reviews and discount offers on my Blog. This has so far proved very popular. So if you have not yet created a Blog have a go. I am not going to go into the details of how to do this as a simple Google search will tell you all you need to know but what I will say is start with your webhost control panel as most have a Blog creation tool. How Many Marketers Lists are you on? Let me tell you now it's not enough? You must be joking John. My inbox is flooded with offers each day... Let me tell you something, did you notice how I mentioned how I learned something from Tim Knox that prompted me to start a Blog? Do you think he is the only person I have learned from? You can usually learn so much from watching how other marketers do their business and it needn't cost you a penny.
Can you see how this works. If you see a tactic repeatedly being used it must be getting used for a reason. I have learned so much over the years by watching how other marketers conduct their business and I would suggest you do the same. You don't need to use your main email account. Just set up a Hotmail account and use that. Then be sure to check your Inbox once a week and see what you can learn. For starters you can see what subject lines appeal the most and you can use similar subjects for your own campaigns. What Did You do Today? When I say that I mean what did you do today to build your business? This is something I have covered numerous times this month on my Blog. Try to get into the habit of doing something, anything that will build your business. Things such as:

Remember, it only takes a few minutes a day to do something to build your business. I Will Promote Your Product if... If you have been on any of my list(s) for any amount of time you will know I strive to get you discounts on most of the products I offer. Now I'm not saying that this is guaranteed to get the 'big guns' to promote your products but I know if you offer to create a discount page for any potential JV partners you will stand a better chance of getting the deal. I allow most of my products to be promoted at a discount price if the deal is right. So if you have a massive list and want to promote any of my products at a discount get in touch :-) But seriously, this does work so always consider it in any JV communications you may have.
